MOVIE SCRIPT.

SCENE 1:

(SETTING)                                            

SINGLE CUT:

(The scene opens up in darkness with a high-pitched noise slowly growing louder as if someone is slowly turning up the volume. Then suddenly… *SMASH CUT TO CLOSE SHOT on ABBYS HAND TO STOP THE RING*.)

(ABBY and EMMA standing to the left of a doorway. EMMA seems lost in thought as if she’s contemplating the actions she’s about to commit.)

ABBY

 *snaps* Hey, Are you ready?

EMMA

(Startled)Y-yeah. 

(2 figures in all black, wearing black ski masks are inside the room they are about to enter. *THE CAMERA PANS WITH THEM* ABBY runs into the room, but EMMA takes a breath and then follows closely behind. Without haste, GOON #1 throws a punch. ABBY ducks, then punches GOON #1 in the stomach. *MEDIUM SHOT* GOON #1 then staggers for enough time to allow *LOW SHOT OF GOON#1S LEGS * EMMA to slide behind GOON #1 and kick behind his knee making him fall to his knees. *HIGH ANGLE SHOT* Abby then punches him in the face twice then removes his ski mask, wraps it around his neck and then begins choking him with it. *

(*FULL SHOT* GOON #2 and EMMA charge at each other. EMMA attempts to throw a punch, but is blocked by GOON #2. *CLOSE UP* GOON #2 then kicks EMMA *THE CAMERA FOLLOWS HER AS SHE FALLS TO THE GROUND. THE CAMERA THEN CUTS TO CLOSE UP ON GOON #2 HANDS GOING LIMP*. ABBY finishes killing GOON #1 and *RUNS OUT OF FRAME* starts running towards GOON #2.*CUT TO BEHIND PERSPECTIVE OF ABBY*. ABBY jumps over EMMA who's still on the ground to get to GOON #2. *FULL SHOT* ABBY lands a punch then her next punch is blocked as she's punched in the gut, *WIDE MEDIUM SHOT* lifted and *ON ACTION CUT* thrown into a wall. GOON #2 walks towards ABBY, grabs her, and starts choking her and lifting her to the wall. *BOTH BOTTLE AND EMMA ARE IN CLOSE UP FRAME, HOWEVER, EMMA IS THE SUBJECT*. EMMA notices *CAMERA FOCUSES ON BOTTLE*)

(*CAMERA IN ABBY’S PERSPECTIVE*, GOON #2 is choking ABBY. EMMA smashes the bottle against GOON #2 head, EMMA is directly behind the goon so you can't see her until the GOON #2 gets knocked out by the bottle and falls to the ground. *MEDIUM SHOT* EMMA and ABBY regain their composure and turn simultaneously to look at a door to another room.)

(ABBY kicks open the door *Camera starts in the room completely dark until ABBY kicks open the door letting light in*, ABBY and EMMA enter. They look around and only see boxes. *CAMERA QUICKLY CUTS TO  MEDIUM SHOT SHOW ENVIRONMENT* ABBY opens a box *CUT TO THE OPEN BOX* and grabs a can of food for a close look. *CUTS TO ABBY IN A WIDE CLOSE UP*)

ABBY 

 It’s just rations, he’s not here. 

EMMA 

*Grabs forehead* Fuck!

ABBY 

(Rationalizing) It’s fine, there are 6 other marks in town. We can clear them in the next few days. He’s gonna be in o-

(She pauses while they both hear something outside, *J CUT TO CLOSE UP OF BAT AS THE CAMERA FOLLOWS* there's a shot of a baseball bat dragging against the ground, *WHIP CUT WITH RECOIL TO DOOR* they walk out and see GOON #3 holding a baseball bat. *MEDIUM SHOT* EMMA and ABBY look at each other and nod before *THEY CHARGE THROUGH THE FRAME* charging at Goon #3.)

(GOON #3 swings his bat which ABBY ducks under and *ON ACTION CUT* kicks GOON #3 in the stomach. GOON #3 hears footsteps and turns around and EMMA jumps and *SWITCH TO BEHIND GOON #3 RIGHT AS HE IS ABOUT TO BE PUNCHED* punches GOON #3 in the face. ABBY grabs the ends of the bat while GOON #3 is holding it and pulls it to start choking the goon with the bat. *MEDIUM SHOT FOCUSED ON EMMA* EMMA punches GOON #3 in the stomach, causing him to lean forward. ABBY lets go of the bat and gets off.)

(*SIDE MEDIUM SHOT* EMMA grabs the bat from GOON #3 left hand and pulls GOON #3  into a face kick, *CLOSE UP ON BAT EXCHANGE* EMMA gets the bat from GOON #3 hand and hits his knee with it causing him to drop down to his knees. *MEDIUM SHOT* EMMA passes the bat to ABBY who swings it into GOON #3 head, he falls to the ground and *HIGH ANGLE SHOT* ABBY stands over him.)

GOON #3

 (Pleading while lifting his hands)  Wai-no no wait!

ABBY

(Putting her finger over her lips) Shushh.

(*CUT TO side angle* ABBY kicks GOON #3 hand down and lifts her leg *cut to Goon#3 P.O.V * above his head with an ear-to-ear smile.*OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT* EMMA watches ABBY stop on GOON #3 head. *CLOSE UP* ABBY’S blood-drenched shoe hits the ground. *CLOSE UP* ABBY’S smile fades the second she turns to EMMA.)

ABBY

 (Sternly) Hey! Wipe that dumbass look off your face. We did what we had to. No use pouting about it.

(*MEDIUM SHOT* EMMA nods.)

ABBY

(Contemplating) Right, if we can get to the safehouse before nigh-

(*J CUT* GOON #2 groans. *MEDIUM CUT* ABBY and EMMA turn to GOON #2 *CAMERA CUTS TO GOON #2* who trying to crawl away on the floor *MEDIUM CUT TO EMMA*.)

 ABBY

(Strongly, With presence) Do you want this one?

(*MEDIUM SHOT OF ABBY AND EMMA* ABBY offers EMMA the bat.)

EMMA

(Small and Frightened) Uh…no. You got it. 

( ABBY smiles while walking towards GOON #2 with the bat *J CUT TO CLOSE UP OF BAT AS THE CAMERA FOLLOWS the bat dragging on the ground SIMILAR TO WHAT GOON #3 DID IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS FIGHT SCENE*, she lifts it above her head *CUT SHOWING THE BAT RISING* and brings it crashing down on his head.) 

(* CUT TO EMMA IN WHICH INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON ABBY’S CARNAGE, THE CAMERA FOCUSES ON EMMA’S REACTION. THE CAMERA SWAPS BETWEEN CUTS OF ABBY BEATING THE GOON WITH THE BAT AND THE BAT BECOMING BLOODIER EACH HIT. EACH TIME THE CAMERA CUTS BACK TO EMMA THE CAMERA INCHES CLOSER AND CLOSER. THE BEATING BECOMES DRONED OUT BY THE HIGH-PITCHED NOISE FROM THE BEGINNING. IT BECOMES LOUDER UNTIL NOTHING ELSE CAN BE HEARD, AND THEN IT DRONES BACK OUT TO ABBY’S RUTHLESS ABUSE*.)

(*L CUT TO MEDIUM SHOT* ABBY finishes dealing her excessive blows to GOON #3 head, then she throws the bat across the room one-handed.) 

ABBY

(Energized) WOO! 

(*MEDIUM SHOT OF EMMA* ABBY begins trying to hype herself down, with a similar reaction to someone who just skydived for the first time.)

 Alright…alright.

(*L CUT TO MEDIUM SHOT* ABBY pats EMMA on the shoulder.)

 We did it, we gotta go. Ain't much daylight left.

(*ABBY WALKS OUT FRAME* ABBY walks away, and EMMA follows behind. *CAMERA PANS AWAY FROM ABBY AND FOCUSES ON EMMA* Suddenly EMMA stops to look at GOON #3 body. *SPLIT DIOPTER SHOT FIRST FOCUSING ON EMMA’S FACE THEN SWITCHING FOCUS TO GOON #3 HAND WHEN IT TWITCHES*)

ABBY

(Shouted at a distance) AY! Let's move!

(*EMMA LEAVES THE FRAME LEAVING ONLY GOON #3 HAND IN FRAME FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS*)
